Some Android devices may experience OS restarts when connected to the app on a smart device via USB after installing the Android OS security update released by Google in early March 2021. We recommend updating the OS to Android 12 after backing up the data in order to use Smart Pianist. Devices confirmed to have this issue include Pixel 4a and Pixel 4XL.

Smart Pianist enables you to access numerous features of your Yamaha digital piano using your Android device. This app offers enhanced functionality when paired with the innovative Clavinova CSP series digital pianos.

Features:

1. Learn to play your favorite songs instantly with the exclusive Audio to Score feature. This function, unique to Clavinova CSP, automatically generates piano accompaniment scores from songs in your music library when connected to the Clavinova CSP.
2. Smart Pianist simplifies the selection of instrument voices and settings by transforming your smart device into an intuitive touch-screen interface for your digital piano.
3. With the app, you can play back various types of song data including Preset songs and commercially available songs. In addition to playback enjoyment, you can practice alongside these songs. The app displays notation for hundreds of built-in MIDI songs and offers the option to purchase additional songs from Yamaha MusicSoft (Yamaha MusicSoft).
